The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites applications for a full-time, permanent non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, starting in August 2024. This position involves substantial teaching responsibilities in a wide range of both lower and upper level undergraduate courses. This position also involves significant program-building activities and departmental service responsibilities related to the School’s economics degree programs. The ideal candidate will have an interest in or even experience with developing online and hybrid courses, particularly for upper level and possibly MA courses. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Economics or be ABD, but nearing completion. The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies is committed to offering professional growth and promotional opportunities for non-tenure-line faculty appointments.
Preference will be given to applicants with considerable teaching experience and/or evidence of the potential to be an outstanding instructor. Teaching experience or the ability to teach courses in any or several of the following areas at the undergraduate level are a plus: econometrics, industrial organization and / or law and economics, economic history, health, and labor, while at the same time heavily contributing to the core courses (principles of macroeconomics, principles of microeconomics, and/or global economics).
