CAF is a multilateral financial institution that promotes sustainable development and regional integration.

We are currently seeking an Economist for our Research Department. Graduating and experienced Ph.D.s in Economics are both invited to apply.

We offer a competitive compensation and package of benefits, including education allowances for families with children. The position will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese is essential.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-skilled and multicultural team that conducts high-quality policy-oriented research on development issues. The activities of the position include:
- Contribute to the preparation of policy reports, aimed at providing recommendations informed by the relevant scientific knowledge.
- Conduct high-quality academic research for publication in refereed journals.
- Provide expert advisory in the operations and specific projects of the bank, interacting with both bank staff and policy makers in our shareholder countries.
- Present policy and research products to academic and non-academic audiences.
