Full Text of JOE Listing:

We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in one of the social sciences or a related discipline. The appointment will begin September 1, 2024, subject to final budget approval.

We seek a candidate with advanced training in applied microeconomics/econometrics as well as advanced skills in statistical software packages (e.g., Stata, R). Object-oriented programming skills and experience with GIS software are welcome, as is experience conducting research in collaboration with local government partners. The ideal candidate would have specialized in development economics and have interests in the allocation of public services/infrastructure and structural transformation in low-income countries. But we also encourage applications from candidates with specializations in other applied fields, such as labor and public economics.
