Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Health Economics/Health Policy to join the Department of Health, Society and Behavior at the University of California, Irvine. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work closely with Dr. Brandy Lipton on a variety of projects that examine the impacts of public policies on population health and well-being using quasi-experimental research methods. The person in this role will be expected to make substantial contributions to research examining the impacts of Medicaid pregnancy dental benefits among pregnant people and their children who were exposed to the policies while in utero, among other projects. There is scope for both leadership and collaborative research roles and funding for professional development activities is available.
Successful candidates will have strong data analysis and coding skills and experience executing quasi-experimental research designs.
Candidates should expect to receive their PhD by Summer 2024, or have received their degree within the past 3 years. This is expected to be a 1-3 year appointment, contingent on performance and funding availability. The start date is negotiable.
