High Point University invites applications for two permanent full-time positions in Economics in the Phillips School of Business (PSB), beginning August 2024. One position is tenure-track Assistant Professor and the other is promotion-path. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications. High Point University is a private liberal arts institution with growing undergraduate and graduate student enrollment and expanding academic programs.
Required qualifications: PhD or ABD in Economics. Fields are open, with a preference for an Economic Generalist, with an interest in teaching Environmental Economics, Labor Economics, Experimental Economics, or Health Economics. Applicants must be committed to quality teaching and have a well-defined research agenda, preferably with at least one peer-reviewed publication. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and economics elective courses.
Collaboration with faculty on curriculum and program development, service to the school and university, and scholarly research are expected. The PSB embraces a broad range of theoretical and methodological perspectives, values collaborative research, and encourages faculty to work across divisions and specializations.
