Full Text of JOE Listing:
CDC established the 2-year Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship to address public health demand for rigorous health economics-based inquiry through the recruitment, internal placement, and professional development of public health economists. Prevention effectiveness and public health economics assess the impact of public health policies, programs, and practices on health outcomes by determining efficacy, effectiveness, and efficiency using economic, econometric, decision, analytic, and policy evaluation methods.
CDC is recruiting approximately 10 fellowship positions for 2024. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in economics, health services research, health policy or policy analysis, public policy, or related quantitatively oriented fields. Fellows are matched with CDC programs.
Doctoral degree requirements must be completed by 7/19/2024. Starting annual salary is approximately $97,000 plus Federal benefits.
