The Department of Economics within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more non-tenure track Visiting Faculty Position(s) in Applied microeconomics (labor, public, etc.), econometrics, or behavioral economics (including experimental) at the level of Visiting Assistant, Associate or Full Professor starting August 16, 2023. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Position(s) may range from 50% time (teaching 2 classes/year) to 100% time (teaching 4 classes/year) and include a 1-3 year contract with benefits. For more information about the Visiting Faculty policy, refer to the Operations Manual, III 10.12.

Education Requirement
An earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 16, 2023.

Required Qualifications
Evidence of successful undergraduate teaching experience in either behavioral economics, applied microeconomics (e.g. labor, public, etc.), law and economics, econometrics, intermediate microeconomics, or game theory.

Desired Qualifications
We are primarily interested in candidates who can teach elective courses for undergraduates in applied microeconomics (labor, public, etc.), law and economics, econometrics, or behavioral economics. As secondary considerations, we would value individuals who can teach intermediate microeconomics or game theory in addition to one of the fields mentioned above.
