The Department of Economics, University of Southern Denmark, invites applications for a vacant tenure track position as Assistant Professor from August 1, 2023.
We are an international department with a strong tradition for excellence in research and teaching within the various areas of economics. The research, teaching, and dissemination activities are organized within four platforms: Econometrics and Data Science, Economic History, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics. The candidate will be involved in a prestigious research project on social mobility and human capital in the Nordic countries funded by the Danish National Research Foundation, headed by Professor Gregory Clark a world-renowned researcher in Quantitative Economic History, from the Historical Economics and Development Group (https://www.sdu.dk/en/hedg).
HEDG focuses on teaching and research in economic history with a quantitative focus. Our researchers aim to answer important questions concerning health, migration, demography, and development. HEDG is internationally acknowledged as a leading research group and attracts substantial grants and media coverage, as well as publishing books and articles with top outlets.
