Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Corporate Net-Zero Targets, supported by the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University, provides the opportunity for an early-career economist to undertake research on corporate greenhouse gas emission targets. Research topics will include data-intensive, empirical evaluation of: drivers of corporate adoption of emission targets; corporate emission-cutting strategies, including decarbonization investment, divestment, and offsets; and, environmental, financial, and economic impacts – including sectoral impacts – of voluntary corporate emission reductions.

Applications from researchers just completing their PhDs, and from junior faculty who may be able to combine the fellowship with early career leave, are welcome. The fellow will work with post-doc sponsors Joe Aldy, Jody Freeman, George Serafeim, and Mike Toffel. The appointment will be for one year, with consideration of a second year.

The fellowship will provide a 12-month stipend of $83,000, eligibility for health insurance, travel/research allowance, and office space at the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability. There may be an opportunity for a second-year renewal of the fellowship.
