Centre College invites applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics beginning in August 2023. We seek a teacher-scholar with a strong commitment to student-centered, inclusive teaching who will enhance the teaching and learning environment at Centre College with their lived experiences, ideas, perspectives, and scholarship. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in economics or a scheduled defense date by the start of their appointment.

Established in 1819, Centre College is a nationally ranked Liberal Arts College and is proud to host one of the nation’s premiere study-abroad programs. While the area of expertise is open, teaching expectations will include core introductory and intermediate level courses with opportunities to teach upper-level courses in the economist’s areas of interest. Collaborative research with undergraduates is strongly encouraged and supported by the college.
