Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position (9-month appointment) in the Department of Economics at the Assistant Professor level, focused on Applied Microeconomics, to begin August 15, 2023. Candidates are expected to develop an active research agenda, a commitment to innovative pedagogy, and a strong record of teaching and service to the university and profession. Successful candidates will have advanced analytical skills and research interests that are pertinent for public policy analysis. Areas of research interest to the department include: regional economics, labor, environmental/energy, or health.

East Carolina University (ECU) is classified as a R2-Doctoral/Research-Intensive University and is a member of the 17-campus University of North Carolina System. ECU is located in the coastal region of North Carolina in Greenville (pop. 95,000), and has a diverse student body of roughly 29,000 students with over 5,500 pursuing graduate or professional degrees.

The ECU Department of Economics offers B.A. and B.S. undergraduate degrees and an M.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics.
