The Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, 9-month position in behavioral finance, with an anticipated start date of summer or Fall 2023. Exceptional applicants from other related areas of agricultural economics will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate a path for developing a successful research and teaching program in behavioral finance. The position holder will participate in mentoring, teaching, graduate student research advising, and assisting in the recruitment of a diverse student body. Teaching expectations are three undergraduate or graduate classes per year in finance, financial planning, and related fields (e.g., tax/estate planning).

The Department of Agricultural Economics has a large and broad faculty base with collaborative opportunities in areas such as agribusiness, marketing, finance, financial planning, econometrics, and behavioral economics. The Department has a strong research unit in behavioral economics. The successful candidate can collaborate with faculty affiliated with the Human Behavior Laboratory, a state-of-the-art and large-scale facility equipped to run economic experiments integrated with neurophysiological measures, eye tracking, and emotional measures through facial expressions. Qualifications

Applicants are expected to have a PhD in agricultural economics, economics, finance, business, or related field.
