Full Text of JOE Listing:

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities invites applications for one or more tenure-track or tenured appointments at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to contribute to and expand research and teaching in the field of computational social science with an emphasis on issues related to digital economies, AI/machine learning, and/or privacy. The ideal candidate will apply tools from econometrics and data science to big and unstructured data in order to address social and economic problems relating to and resulting from the emergence and regulation of new technologies. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work relates to the application of new technologies such as automation/AI and machine learning and has implications for “gig” economies, digital platforms/marketplaces, the future of work, data ethics, information privacy, or the future of monetary policy.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a social science discipline, data science, or a closely related field by the appointment start date.
