The Economics Department is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in applied microeconomics beginning August 2023. The ideal hire will complement existing strengths in international, labor or public economics. The successful candidate is expected to develop an outstanding research program, provide excellent teaching, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Strong background in applied microeconomics, with research interests that include an emphasis on empirical analysis.
• Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field at the beginning of the appointment.
• Evidence of teaching potential.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Evidence of research excellence in applied microeconomics that complements the department’s strengths in international, labor or public economics.
• Teaching preparation or experience.
• Interest in working with the RDC or the Yeutter Institute, described below.
