The Economics Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a position as Teaching Assistant Professor to teach in our undergraduate program, with appointment beginning July 1, 2023. This is a 9-month, 6-course per year (2 preps per semester on average) position over a 5-year term with the possibility of renewal. We are especially interested in someone with the experience and excitement to effectively teach a large enrollment principles course and a smaller principles of microeconomics course taught using case studies with a conceptual focus on innovation and entrepreneurship in addition to smaller elective courses within the major. Review of applications will begin October 20, 2022 and will continue until the position is filled. The Department of Economics is in the College of Arts and Sciences. It confers BA, BS, MA and PhD (STEM classified) degrees and minors in Entrepreneurship and Politics, Philosophy & Economics.
