The Economics Department at UNC Chapel Hill invites applications in any area of economics for a tenure-track position at the assistant- or associate-professor level with appointment beginning 7/1/2023. Successful candidates will demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research and teaching. Duties will include research, teaching, and service, with responsibility for three economics courses per year, one of which shall be an undergraduate course appealing to students in the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship (https://shuford.unc.edu), which is housed in Economics. The Associate Professor position may be offered with or without tenure, depending on candidate qualifications. Hire at the Assistant Professor rank requires a completed Ph.D. in Economics by 7/1/2023. An initial appointment of Instructor is applied to a successful assistant professor candidate who will complete the Ph.D. by 7/1/2024.
