The Department of Economics at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2023, with the expectation that they will have received their Ph.D. degree in economics or a related discipline by August 2023. Successful candidates will be pursuing a research agenda that investigates economic issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The research expectation is commensurate with a 3/2 teaching load. Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental economic courses as well as elective courses in their research area. Departmental representatives will conduct virtual interviews for the first round of the selection process. Finalists will be invited to campus for an in-person visit.

Department Details:
The Department of Economics at Texas Christian University emphasizes the teacher-scholar model and the ideals of a liberal arts education. Students are encouraged to explore alternative points of view and to develop the tools necessary for independent analysis of economic arguments. We are part of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts at TCU, we offer three majors (BA, BS, and BS in International Economics), and we currently have roughly 350 majors.

At least three confidential letters of recommendation which should be sent via the AEA JOE system by November 15. The application will be considered incomplete and not evaluated if at least three letters are not submitted by the deadline.
