The Department of Economics at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Economics with a focus on data analytics. We are particularly interested in candidates who conduct applied research at the intersection of either macroeconomics, microeconomics, or financial economics with machine learning/big data.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop graduate and undergraduate courses in data analytics with economic applications and will play an important role in advancing the analytical focus of our STEM-certified MA program. They will conduct research in their field(s) of specialization, teach graduate and undergraduate courses in machine learning/big data, as well as core graduate and undergraduate courses in their areas (micro/macro/financial economics), provide service to the University, and participate in our community. Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree in Economics at the time of appointment.

Qualifications
• A completed Ph.D. degree in Economics at the start of the appointment (Fall 2023);
• Demonstrated research potential as evidenced by research record and ongoing research in the areas of specialty with a focus on data analytics;
• Demonstrated interest in teaching a diverse student population.
