The Department of Economics invites applications for tenure-track position(s) at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full) in all fields of Economics. We particularly welcome candidates with expertise in macroeconomics, international trade and econometrics.
HKUST is a world-renowned English-speaking international research university in Asia's most vibrant city. The Department of Economics at HKUST strives to excel in both its research and teaching missions. Candidates must receive a Ph.D. by August 2023 and must demonstrate the potential to achieve excellence in both research and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Junior and mid-career applicants should arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be sent. For tenured positions, references will be solicited only after both sides agree to proceed with the process of appointment.

Shortlisted junior and mid-career candidates will be interviewed via Zoom in late December 2022 or early January 2023.
