Assistant Professor - Economics - Applied Microeconomic Theory

Syracuse University’s Department of Economics seeks to fill a tenure track position in applied microeconomic theory at the Assistant or Advanced Assistant level. Candidates should have research interests in at least one of the following applied micro fields: international trade, labor economics, public economics, development economics, and urban and regional economics.

Candidates must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in Economics or related field. We seek a strong researcher with the ability to advise doctoral students and to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in microeconomic theory and their relevant applied micro field. Experienced candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement, including publishing in core peer reviewed economics journals.

The Department of Economics is located in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, which includes departments and programs in the social sciences, public policy, public administration, and international relations.
