The Department of Economics at the University of Bern invites applications for Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics (100 %).

The Department of Economics at the University of Bern invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track). Applications from all fields in theoretical and empirical macroeconomics are welcome. The candidate’s main objective should be the development of a strong research record with high quality publications. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or an equivalent degree completed by the starting date of the appointment.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the teaching of the core Macroeconomics courses at the Bachelor- and Master-level and to provide advanced courses in accordance with her or his field of specialization. Teaching can be in English or German.

The Department encourages and supports the candidate in the acquisition of third-party research funds (e.g. SNF or international sources of funding). The salary is subject to the regulations of the Canton of Bern and is internationally competitive. The University of Bern is an equal opportunity employer.
