The Department of Environmental Economics and Management at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Rehovot Campus) provides academic training in economics and management with specialization in the areas of environmental, agricultural, food and natural resource economics. Our BSc, MSc and PhD programs train applied economists with broad understanding and expertise in the management of systems connected to the natural, life and environmental sciences.
The department invites applications from excellent candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position. Starting date is October 1, 2023. Applicants should have a PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Applicants should have demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research in any aspect of economics/management related to the environment, natural resources, food or agriculture. Starting rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
Candidates will be expected to develop original and independent research on a high academic level in their area of specialization. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Hebrew or English. Ability to supervise graduate and doctoral students in their field of interest is also required.
