The Department of Economics at Wofford College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor to start in the fall 2022. The teaching load will be three courses per semester, with three sections of introductory macroeconomics in the fall, and two courses of either intermediate macro or introductory microeconomics plus one elective in the spring. There will be no teaching responsibilities during the college’s Interim term, which runs from Jan. 8 until Feb. 2.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. is required for appointment as a visiting assistant professor and is preferred; however,
consideration for appointment as a visiting instructor will be provided for both ABD candidates as well as candidates with a master’s degree that have 18 graduate credit hours in economics or a closely related field. Preference will be given for qualified candidates with demonstrated strong teaching experience in introductory macroeconomics and experience or a desire to teach intermediate macro or introductory microeconomics.
