UC ANR is hiring Rural Community & Economic Development Advisor (Applied Research and Extension) serving Del Norte, Humboldt and Trinity Counties.
The position will implement an innovative extension education and applied research program to address high priority needs and challenges related to building agriculture and natural resource businesses. The Advisor will work to 1) provide leadership to develop innovative models for rural economic prosperity and resiliency, 2) provide technical assistance for communities to help navigate regional management and regulatory hurdles, and 3) create synergistic, collaborative relationships with local and non-governmental partners.
A minimum of a Master’s degree in in community development, business management, agricultural economics/ development, or related fields is required at the time of appointment.
