The Senior Policy Analyst produces empirical research, writes publications, and conducts related activities, such as public speaking and briefings. Relevant research areas primarily include modeling the impact of proposed trade policies on states, localities, the private sector, and other relevant groups. The Senior Analyst examines policies related to trade, labor, financial regulation, agriculture, and more. Additionally, the Senior Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Center’s international trade model and ensuring that other analysts are familiar with the model. The Senior Policy Analyst is an advanced research position requiring strong understanding of economics and public policy. Responsible for researching and writing on topics regarding trade policy and for representing Heritage in professional settings with only general supervision.

Qualifications:
Education: M.A. or acquisition of equivalent level of technical and research skills.
Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience in public policy research; strong body of public policy publications.
Communication: Good public speaker and thoroughly competent writer.
Achievement: Significant contributions to the public policy debate.
Technology: MS Office and Outlook, various statistical and programming Languages.
