The Economics program at Southern Oregon University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will have expertise in applied microeconomics (D). We are specifically seeking teacher-scholars with specialization in in at least one of the following fields: (i) Health Care Economics (I1), (ii) Economic Aspects of Climate Change, Sustainability, or Environmental Justice (Q5) or (iii) Political Economy of Race & Gender (J15, J16). Interest in Heterodox Economics (B5) also preferred. Teaching assignments will include Principles of Economics (both micro and macro), Intermediate Microeconomics, and at least one applied microeconomics field. Candidates should demonstrate both interest in and ability to collaborate on student, faculty, and community-based research initiatives in at least one applied area.
