The Department of Economics at Illinois Wesleyan University, a nationally ranked, small, private, undergraduate liberal arts university, invites applications for a tenure line position in Economics at the assistant or associate professor level. Employment will begin in August of 2022. We seek candidates with evidence of their teaching excellence and dedication to educating a diverse student body in a liberal arts environment. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D., though ABDs within one year of completion may apply.

The successful candidate will teach introductory economics and statistics, intermediate macroeconomics, and electives in applied macroeconomics and international economics. In addition to teaching, this position requires advising economics students, assisting with curriculum development, participating in committees, and engaging in scholarship. Scholarly productivity is supported, including collaborative research with faculty and students. Currently, several departments including Economics are joining into a single entity titled the School of Business and Economics.
