The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University is seeking a tenure track Assistant, Associate Professor, or Full Professor. We seek researchers with expertise in health economics, health policy, public health, health law, political science, sociology, implementation science, quality improvement, organizational theory, management, decision science, or other fields related to health services research. Candidates with a doctoral degree in a field relevant to health services research or a medical degree are encouraged to apply. We welcome and encourage applications from those who identify as members of groups that have been underrepresented in the health and social sciences.

Qualifications

Faculty members in the department are expected to develop and lead extramurally funded research program within the above areas, teach graduate students in the department’s Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science of Public Health (MSPH) and PhD programs, and mentor MSPH and PhD students.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to innovative research, teaching, mentoring, and service in a diverse and inclusive environment. Preferred qualifications include:
• Candidates at the advanced level are expected to have an extramurally funded research program within the above areas, and junior candidates should have the promise of developing one.
• A commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring at the graduate level
• A commitment to advance the values of diversity equity and inclusion in public health

The Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University is ranked fourth among schools of public health, both in terms of total NIH funding (FY 2020) and also in the latest ratings from U.S. News. A member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, the Rollins School of Public Health has over 650 students and 200 full-time faculty members. The Rollins School is located in Atlanta, GA, often considered the Public Health capital of the world. The school and department have close ties with such nearby agencies and institutions as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society, the Carter Center, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Georgia State University.
