Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Economics Department is seeking a tenure track assistant professor in applied microeconomics beginning August 2022. The successful candidate is expected to develop an outstanding research program in applied microeconomics, provide excellent teaching, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
•A strong background in applied microeconomics, with research interests that include an emphasis on empirical analysis.
•Ph.D. in Economics at the beginning of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Evidence of research excellence in applied microeconomics that complements the department’s strengths.
•Teaching preparation or experience.
•Interest in working with the RDC, described below.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is home to a Federal Statistical Research Data Center (RDC) (https://www.census.gov/fsrdc) which provides researchers with access to restricted federal micro-level data from the Census Bureau, National Center for Health Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other federal agencies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop research projects using RDC data.
