The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama (UA) invites applications for a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor faculty position in Cybersecurity. Successful candidates will have a PhD in their business discipline, a successful track record of grantsmanship and academic publication and demonstrate evidence of excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching.

This open position builds on an existing strength among the Culverhouse faculty in Cybersecurity research and supports The University of Alabama Cyber Institute (UACI). The mission of the UACI is to advance the understanding of the dynamics associated with cyber issues and to develop and implement a comprehensive cyber research and education program at The University of Alabama.
Driven by this interdisciplinary perspective and recognizing that Cybersecurity issues arise in every business discipline, candidates with interdisciplinary backgrounds connecting security to other domains are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in studying the status of current cyber security strategies, develop new metrics to assess the efficiency of cyber security strategies, understand cyber insurance and perception of risk; and explore industrial policies and nudges to motivate positive cyber behavior from employees. The successful candidate may be housed in any of the five Culverhouse academic units: the Culverhouse School of Accountancy; Economic, Finance, and Legal Studies; Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science; Management; or Marketing departments.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Prior to hiring, the candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment background verification.
