Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track (NTT) assistant or associate professor position starting August 2022. This is a renewable position with a primary emphasis on teaching and a secondary emphasis on research. Candidates should have either a master’s degree in economics with at least 5 years of professional experience or a PhD in Economics by August 22, 2022; the latter is preferred.

Applicants must show a record of excellence in teaching, good communication skills, and high potential for innovative course delivery. The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics courses. Upper-level electives and graduate-level courses depend on the candidate’s areas of specialty and departmental needs. Candidates who can teach macroeconomics electives are preferred. The teaching load will be 24 credits per academic year for the first year; a possible load reduction can be negotiated after the first year based on the candidate’s publication record in quality economics journals. Additional responsibilities include advising students and participating in other departmental activities as assigned by the department chair.
