The Department of Economics is an independent part of the Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). With over 40 members of faculty from more than 15 countries, the Department provides an international, collegial, and dynamic research environment with a commitment to world-class academic excellence.
We are currently looking to fill a position at the level of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Microeconomics where the candidate's teaching and research focus on fields related to Development, Environmental, Experimental, Industrial Organization, and Trade. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. Economics or related field by the time of the appointment and demonstrate the potential to publish in internationally recognized journals. The jobholder will be expected to participate fully in the department's intellectual life, maintain a high-quality research agenda that reaches out to external networks of collaborators, and contribute to research activities within the Department and the Faculty. This will include participating in externally funded collaborative research projects and seeking funding for one's projects. The teaching responsibilities will consist of a contribution to core subjects at any level in the research areas of the jobholder, as well as supervision of MSc and Ph.D. students.
