Position Title/Short Description

The position is for a period of four (4) years, of which 25 % is mandatory work at the Department.

Department of Economics is one of seven departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department offers bachelor, master and PhD degrees in economics. Research and teaching at the Department cover a broad spectrum of sub-disciplines. The Department has research groups in the following three fields:

• Competition and finance
• Welfare, social insurance and health
• Behaviour and political economy

The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the Department’s existing research and education profiles. The Research Fellow will be expected to teach and supervise at the bachelor and master levels, and to engage in other tasks at the Department. The normal teaching load is one course per year.

Qualifications and personal qualities:

• The applicant must hold a PhD in economics. The degree must have been awarded before the date of commencement of the position.
• The applicant must work independently and in a structured manner and have the ability to cooperate with others.
• Proficiency in written and oral English is required.
