The Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM) at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) invites applications for a number of tenure-track and tenured positions in any field of economics, finance, management, and accounting. Academic rank will depend on publications and teaching experience. Most or all teaching is expected to be conducted in English. Compensation package includes salary in the range 200,000 RMB - 400,000 RMB, research fund, and a housing allowance of 180,000 RMB. We are interested in qualified applicants from both domestic and foreign PhD programs and especially in applicants with prior teaching and research experience.
SWUFE, located in historical but affordable Chengdu, is one of the best Chinese universities specializing in economics and management and has more than 20,000 full-time students. RIEM is also the home of China Household Finance Survey, and additional consideration will be given to applicants whose research complements the Survey or focuses on China.
