The Department of Economics at the University of Bergen invites applications for a tenure-track position (7 years) as Associate Professor in Economics. The successful applicant should hold a doctoral degree in economics, have a strong research record and possess good pedagogical skills. The candidate will be evaluated for a tenured position as a full professor towards the end of the period.

The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to publish research at a high international level, and a promising pipeline. Personal and collaborative skills will be taken into consideration.
The position comes with a competitive salary, and a low teaching load. In addition, the Department of Economics has a bonus system for publications in selected journals. The position involves teaching duties at the bachelor, master, or PhD level.
