La Salle University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the level of Associate or Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2022. The department is seeking someone with at least 4 years of post-Ph.D. experience in academia. We are open to any research specialty but prefer candidates who have taught a variety of courses. The position requires teaching, advising, and mentoring students, providing service to the Department and University, and eventually taking on a term as Chair.

The Department is committed to teaching and research, believing that research informs what is taught and how it is taught. The teacher-scholar model embraced by the University requires faculty to teach a 3-3 load pre-tenure, and a 4-4 load post-tenure, although reduced teaching loads may be attained when pursuing an active research agenda. In addition, certain University service (e.g., department chair) can also result in a reduced teaching load.
