Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2022, in the field of Race and Race related inequality in the US. A historical/political economic perspective is welcome. Secondary fields of macroeconomics or econometrics are desirable, though not required. The successful candidate would ideally teach econometrics or introductory macroeconomics, in addition to courses in the field of expertise.

Candidates must have experience and evidence of teaching at least one independent class, evidence of research potential, and have completed all the requirements for a Ph.D. in economics by the start date. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment.

Tenure-track faculty members teach a 3-2 load (2-2 in the first year). In addition to providing ongoing strong support for teaching and research, the College offers the following resources for pre-tenured faculty: a supplementary research fund and a semester’s sabbatical at full salary after a successful third-year review.
