Position Description
The City of Seattle, is recruiting for a strategic, collaborative leader committed to data integrity and transparency to lead the economic and revenue forecast functions of the City.
Job Responsibilities
Appointed by the Forecast Council, the Director is responsible for providing independent economic and revenue forecasting that establishes the funding available for spending proposals made by the Mayor and City Council for each of the City’s many funds.
The Director provides operational leadership to OERF directing staff and resources in execution of the OERF annual calendar and work-plan which includes: monitoring forecasts for the national, state and regional economies; providing revenue forecasting and analysis for revenue sources.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will be a strategic and experienced leader with a demonstrated expertise in revenue and economic forecasting. The ideal candidate has served as a senior forecasting consultant for a municipal, county or state organization.
