The Department of Economics at Smith College invites applications for a tenure-track position in microeconomics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2022. Successful candidates should have an active research portfolio and be prepared to engage with diverse students across the liberal arts. Smith College has a 2/2 teaching load and teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include intermediate microeconomics, an upper-level elective that can contribute to the department’s Quantitative Economics major, and other introductory or upper-level courses depending on the candidate’s area of specialization. The ideal candidate will offer a course in behavioral and/or experimental economics. A Ph.D. in Economics or similar is expected by the time of appointment.
