Francis Marion University and the Economics Program in the School of Business invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics.

The successful candidate should have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. in Economics before joining the faculty. Expectations include excellence in teaching, active student engagement inside and outside the classroom, and the development of a high-quality research program. Prior teaching at the university level and experience with online and experiential learning pedagogies are preferred. A typical teaching load includes nine (9) hours per semester. Primary teaching responsibilities include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Applied Statistics. Interest in teaching field courses in labor economics and/or public finance is ideal.
