School of Economics & Management(SEM) at Shanghai Maritime University cordially invites applications for full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty positions. Ranks and fields are open.

SEM plays a key role in the building of the international shipping center in Shanghai, by cultivating intellectual elite and conducting related researches. Its goal is to improve the professional knowledge and skills of students and to enhance value to both local and global organizations and communities in shipping, logistics and other maritime and port industries.

SEM plans to fill up to 5-8 faculty positions ranking from Assistant Professor to full Professor in the fields of Economics, Finance and Accounting.

Faculty members joining SMU will be compensated with competitive compensation packages, including a competitive salary, ample research funds, housing allowances, and standard fringe benefits. Compensation for senior positions is negotiable. Appointees are expected to engage in active research and must possess a PhD by July 2022. We will conduct interviews at the ASSA annual meeting. Interested candidates who would not attend the meeting are also welcomed to apply.
