Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Economics

Description
The Economics Department in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics (CCB&E) at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank beginning August 2022.
West Virginia University (and The John Chambers College of Business and Economics) is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has earned a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by the time of appointment in August of 2022 and possesses teaching and research interests in applied microeconomics. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in urban/regional economics and econometrics.
A successful candidate will be a member of the economics department, be expected to produce high-quality scholarship for leading economics journals, serve on dissertation committees, and participate in the department’s PhD program in Economics, teach in the MS in Economics program and teach undergraduate courses.
