The Department of Economics invites applications for an associate or advanced assistant professor position beginning August 2022, subject to budgetary funding. There is a preference for candidates with an interest in teaching courses dealing with sustainability challenges. Candidates with a field in development, health, industrial organization, labor, urban economics, macroeconomics, and other fields with interests in sustainability are encouraged to apply.

All candidates must have a PhD. Candidates for appointment at the associate professor level should have a strong record of publication in top journals consistent with the standards for those ranks set forth in the Terry College Promotion and Tenure Guidelines, and demonstrated effectiveness in graduate and undergraduate teaching. Candidates for appointment at the assistant professor level should have at least three years of experience after completing their PhD and show great promise as researchers and teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
