The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the leading centers for economics research and education in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. We currently invite applications from outstanding candidates in all fields of economics for the full-time, tenure-track position of Lecturer (equivalent of Assistant Professor in North America).
The School has a broad range of research interests in both theoretical and applied areas of Economics and is responsible for undergraduate and graduate programs (up to and including PhD) in Economics. The successful applicant will have a completed (or near complete) PhD in Economics. Initial interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in Boston (or online) in January 2022.
The successful applicant will be available to commence employment by July 2022 ideally, but this may be negotiated. A competitive remuneration package of AU$129,702 – $154,018, p.a. is available (which includes a base salary AU$110,856 - $131,639 p.a., plus leave loading and 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
