La Salle University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time Associate or Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2021. The department is seeking someone interested in becoming Chair of the department after one or two years of joining the faculty. We are open to any specialty but prefer applied microeconomics and healthcare economics.

The Economics Department resides in La Salle’s School of Arts and Sciences and is “clustered” with the Political Science Department, with a single Chair for both departments. The Economics Department offers two majors: (1) Economics and (2) Economics and International Studies. The Department also provides service teaching for many programs including the MBA, the Doctor in Nursing Practice, the Sports Management minor, and all Business majors. The Political Science Department offers three majors: (1) Political Science, (2) International Relations, and (3) Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics. The two departments combined have approximately 130 undergraduate students in their majors.

Successful candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Economics and a track record of research, excellence in teaching, and service to their department, University, and community.
