The Bishop’s School seeks an engaging, collaborative, dynamic and learner-centered economics teacher beginning August 2021. The individual hired for this position must have a strong background in teaching introductory and advanced-level economics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in calculus and an ability to use calculus methods to reinforce and deepen students’ understanding of both the calculus and the tools of economic analysis.
A bachelor’s degree in economics, history or a related field is required; a minimum of three years of teaching experience is expected. Interest in supporting student participation in extracurricular programs, specifically economics competitions, is highly desirable.
Founded in 1909 and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for 800 students in grades six through twelve located on a historic campus in the heart of La Jolla.
