Humboldt State University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Economics beginning August 2021. An earned PhD in Economics is required. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience teaching environmental and natural resource economics, economics of clean energy/climate policy, economics of sustainability, and an interest in maintaining and building interdisciplinary programmatic linkages. Applicants must demonstrate: Successful college or university-level instructional experience in environmental economics and sustainability; the ability to teach students from a broad range of majors and levels of academic preparation; commitment to and/or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds; teaching experience using a variety of methodologies, and a record of, or potential for, involving students in research and scholarly activity. Humboldt State University is a remote, rural campus located 280 miles north of San Francisco.
