Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree. The successful appointee should demonstrate the ability to teach economics courses with ample business and policy applications. Priority will be given to those who can teach courses related to big data analytics, economics of digital markets, economics of smart cities, statistical methods for data science and environmental economics. Industry experience in data analytics will be highly valued. Candidates demonstrating the ability to teach interdisciplinary courses will also be considered favourably.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing September 2021. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The University reserves the right not to make an appointment for the post advertised, and the appointment will be made according to the terms and conditions applicable at the time of offer.
