The Metro Atlanta Chamber requires an executive thought leader, savvy researcher and communicator to serve as our spokesperson for economic analysis and statistical information. The role reports to the President/CEO and works closely with representatives of board member companies, staff, outside firms, trade associations, federal/state agencies. Help shape debates on issues and be known for an ability to translate complex economic research into clear yet thorough messages in broadly recognized research, publications and speeches. Support the research and advocacy of the public policy department with data and in-depth analysis on key issues.

The ideal candidate; Masters (Ph.D. a plus) in economics, finance/statistics, minimum of 8-10 years of experience as an urban economist. A thought leader and self-starter with demonstrated ability to apply economic analysis to address significant public policy or economic changes that impact regional growth. Must be a hands-on leader whose track record buys immediate credibility. Consummate communicator, able to influence and build meaningful relationships with a variety of audiences including state and federal policymakers, MAC board members and the media.

Experience working matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders internally and externally, including senior executive leadership teams, leading authorities in academia, research, and the media.
