Rockhurst University is seeking applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics for the 2021-2022 academic year. Founded in 1910 and located in Kansas City, MO Rockhurst is a Jesuit, Catholic university committed to inclusive, innovative and transformative education for its nearly 4,000 students.

The Helzberg School of Management (in the College of Business, Influence, and Information Analysis) will be hiring a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics for the 2021-22 academic year. In addition, in the Fall of 2021, the Helzberg School will be searching for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Economics to begin Fall 2022: the Visiting Assistant Professor will be eligible to apply for the Tenure Track position.

The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach 21 credit hours over the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 academic calendar. A PhD in Economics is preferred but ABD candidates will be considered.

The Visiting Assistant Professor will be required to teach the following classes:
• Undergraduate: Principles of Microeconomics and/or Principles of Macroeconomics
• Undergraduate: Intermediate Macroeconomics
• Undergraduate: Law and Economics
• MBA: Competitive Analysis

In addition, there may be opportunities to teach a class on Forecasting or Sustainability.

This search for a Visiting Professor will be conducted entirely online through a combination of phone calls and zoom interviews. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required: if available, please include evidence of teaching effectiveness.
